Spectrometer indicators aren't both green

WR and VS must both be green before you can scan. Here's how to bring them back.

  1. Close all extra app windows. Multiple LENS app windows trigger red indicators. Keep one window open.
  2. Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable between the spectrometers and the laptop.
  3. Check the fiber optic cable (Part C). Hand-tighten both 45° connectors — at the probe (Part A) and at the spectrometers.
  4. Check the probe power source (Part B) bracket is secure.
  5. Confirm the probe is on. The switch is on the probe handle (Part A) on newer units, or on the probe power source (Part B) on older units — the light should be visible at the probe tip.
