Errors during the calibration step

Calibration fails or throws errors. Almost always traces back to the probe and the white reference cap.

  1. Probe fully seated in the white reference cap. It must stay seated for the entire process — don't pull it out partway through.
  2. Probe power on. Switch on, light visible at the probe tip.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts in order. Click Optimize when prompted; don't skip ahead.
  4. Check for light seeping in. Tighten all cable connections — light leaks at the fiber connectors cause calibration failures.
