Connect the unit and calibrate

Connect the probe to the power source and laptop, then calibrate before every session until both indicators are green.

This is the routine you'll run at the start of every scanning session.

Hardware connections

  1. Hand-tighten the fiber optic cable (Part C) into the probe (Part A) at the 45° connector.
  2. Hand-tighten the other end of the cable into the probe power source (Part B).
  3. Connect Part B to your laptop via USB.
  4. Switch Part B on — the small light at the probe tip should be visible.
  5. Make sure your laptop is charged or plugged in.

Calibrate the sensors

  1. Open the Picketa Systems LENS app on your laptop.
  2. Sign in with the same credentials you use for Fieldbook.
  3. Place the probe (Part A) fully inside the white calibration cap.
  4. Click Optimize.
  5. Wait until both WR (White Reference) and VS (Visible Spectrometer) indicators in the top-right are green.

Once both indicators are green, you're ready to scan.
