"Outlier detected" error during scanning

The app rejects a scan as an outlier. This is a quality filter — work through these to get a clean scan.

  1. Recalibrate and retry on the same leaf.
  2. Try a different part of the same leaf — avoid the base and tip; aim for the middle.
  3. Try a different leaf from the same sample.
  4. Check for app updates and redo a full calibration.
  5. Last resort: disable outlier detection in the app settings, scan, then re-enable it.
